Senior wanted for sex abuse nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — A 61-year-old man wanted for sexual abuse was arrested in Valenzuela City yesterday.

Ramoncito Alday was collared in Barangay Maysan at around 6 a.m., Northern Police District director Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas said.

Alday has been a fugitive after a Valenzuela court issued a warrant for his arrest on June 28 for four counts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Child Abuse Law.

Gapas did not give other details on the case the suspect is facing.

Alday was brought to the police station for documentation and will be presented in court to stand trial.
