Part of C-5 Road closed after Taguig landslide
MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Taguig has closed one lane of C-5 Road after a landslide occurred in Barangay Western Bicutan, displacing 23 families.
In an advisory yesterday, city hall said the lane adjustment may cause traffic jams and advised motorists to plan their trips.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), in coordination with the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, modified vehicle lane assignments along C-5 Road northbound from SLEX ramp leading to Centennial Village.
The MMDA said the innermost lane of the road segment would be designated for trucks. The middle and outermost lanes are for light vehicles.
The bicycle lane will remain closed until further notice.
The local government has deployed a team to provide emergency assistance to motorists along major roads in the city.
The team will be providing free services such as towing, battery jumpstart, flat tire replacement and minor mechanical repairs.
The team is deployed from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight along C-6 Road, C-5 Road, General Santos Avenue, DOST area and Cayetano Boulevard.
