EXO-SC conquers Manila with back-to-back FanCon tour
The powerful K-pop duo from one of Korea’s top K-pop groups EXO, EXO-SC’s Sehun and Chanyeol, came back to Manila with a sold-out FanCon Tour last May 20 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The day was packed with lots of activities from morning to night. Before the actual show, fans gathered in the newly opened Quantum Skyview at Gateway Mall 2 to enjoy the fan club-initiated “fan zone.” There, they had programs and various booths where they could enjoy EXO-SC’s music.
In the afternoon at the same venue, EXO-SC’s exclusive press conference was held with media and selected fans. The duo generously entertained questions from the press.
At exactly 6 p.m., the packed Araneta Coliseum vibrated with so much excitement as the Fancon Tour began. The show opened with Sehun and Chanyeol’s bright live rendition of their hit song What A Life, followed by fun games and interactions with fans.
During the show, EXO-SC didn’t miss trying out the Filipino game of sipa and getting a taste of our local delicacy kakanin, which caught them by surprise because of its delectable taste.
At one point, Sehun and Chanyeol declared that they want to live in the Philippines because of their fans’ warm support.
The show ended with a rave, as the duo sang Just Us 2 in the encore. Subsequently, they came back onstage for an intimate and heartwarming send-off session with selected fans from the show.
Sehun and Chanyeol also promised to return with the rest of the EXO members and do a much-anticipated comeback concert in the country.
